      Osenroth, Vanelia M.

      REEDSBURG - Vanelia M. Osenroth, age 108, of Reedsburg, died Wednesday morning, May 23, 2001, in the Edward Snyder Nursing Home. She was born on December 21, 1892, in the town of Winfield, Sauk County, the daughter of August and Elizabeth (McIntosh) Kleeber.

      On December 19, 1914, she was united in marriage to Charles F. Osenroth.

      Vanelia was a seamstress at the J.C. Penney store for many years. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Reedsburg Hospital Auxillary. She enjoyed being a seamstress and her gardening.

      Survivors include a daughter, Margaret (Harold Gadge) Bohen of Reedsburg; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on March 26, 1979; a daughter, Dorothy Young, on April 21, 2001; three brothers, Glen, Hilbert and Clinton Kleeber; and four sisters, Pearl Kleeber, Mildred Kleeber, Hazel Hirst and Charlotte Dietzel.

      Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2001, at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH in Reedsburg. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
