    • Sun Prairie - Prisca B. Batz, age 95, of Sun Prairie, died on Tuesday, September 8, 1998 at a Sun Prairie nursing home. She was born on May 25, 1903, the daughter of G. Adam and Katharine (Gmeinder) Batz. She was a graduate of Whitewater State Teacher's College, and received her Master's Degree from Northweatern University in 1939. She was a teacher of business education at Waukesha High School, Waukesha from 123 to 1930; Bay View High School, Milwaukee from 1930 to 1963; and at St. Joan Antida, Milwaukee from 1963 until her retirement in 1969. She was a charter member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters of Sacred Hearts Church in Sun Prairie. Survivors include her niece, Katharine ("Kay") Batz Krebs, a nephew, Clem (Mary Belda) Batz, all of Sun Prairie; ten grand-nieces and -nephews, twelve great-grand-nieces and -nephews; and three great great grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Clemens Batz Sr., three sisters, Zita, Regina and Coletta Batz; and a nephew, G. Allan Batz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Hearts Of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, Sun Prairie, on Friday, September 11, at 11:00 a.m., with Father Duane Moellenberndt officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie after 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10. A Scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
