      Hoffmann, Anita Straus

      WYOCENA - Anita Straus Hoffmann, age 105, died peacefully on June 4, 2008. She was born Feb. 22, 1903.

      She married Nelson E. Hoffmann on June 4, 1927, in the Jesu Church in Milwaukee.

      She graduated from Sun Prairie High School and then Marquette University School of Nursing in 1924. She is the beloved mother of Gloria Roeber of Waunakee-Lodi; Nancy (Rudi) Hermann of N. Fort Meyers, Fla.; and the Rev. Robert E. Hoffmann of Maryknoll Society, Peru, South America. Anita is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.

      She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nelson; her son-in-law, Dick Roeber; and a grandson, Gregory Roeber.

      There will be a Memorial Mass at EDGEWOOD COLLEGE CHAPEL in Madison on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. with her son, the Rev. Robert Hoffmann officiating.
