On the afternoon of Aug. 15, 2017, Ann L. Reisdorf passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages, Fla. She was surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born Aug. 9, 1934, in Albany, Wis., the only child of Raymond and Marcelline (Graves) Root. Ann married Bill Aide in 1955 and they had one daughter. She worked 33 years at the Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Madison, Wis., until retirement in 1998. Before Bill's death in 1989, they moved to Cherokee Condominiums and enjoyed time with their two grandchildren. In 1998 Ann met and married Ray Reisdorf. She was happy to enlarge her family to include Ray's four children and three grandchildren. Ann had a beautiful life savoring visits with her family and friends, traveling near and far with her loved ones; weekly golf, bridge and mahjong games; daily walks and word puzzles. Ann was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in The Villages, Fla. Her faith was extremely important to her. She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Ray Reisdorf; her daughter, Jill Bender (Jeff Seamans) of Sun Prairie, Wis.; four stepchildren, Kathryn (Ray) Young of Sarasota, Fla., Joan (Tom) Janssen of Sun Prairie, Wis., MC (Val Hodgson) Reisdorf of Madison, Wis., and Charles (Susan) Reisdorf of Westminster, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Nicole Bettin, Lee (Lisa) Bender, Christine (Charles) Wright, Megan (Matthew) Wisniewski, Nelson, Miranda, Cole and Rebecca Reisdorf; six great-grandchildren, Ryley, Reese, Hayley, Ella, Colton and Teagan; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill, and her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Aug. 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, Wis., with Monsignor Charles Schluter presiding. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, Wis., and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, 705 Femrite Drive, Madison, WI. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ann's name to: Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL.
